How in the ear hearing aids are made

Tiny custom-made hearing aids are manufactured in Oxfordshire and crafted to fit invisibly inside each unique ear. Find out more about ReSound Smart Hearing aids at www.resound.com. These tiny but incredibly complex devices are manufactured using highly skilled labour. The process starts when the audiologist takes an impression is taken of the ear. This impression is prepared and scanned before being digitally sculpted and built using a 3-D printer. The hearing aid processor, microphone, receiver and other component parts are wired and fitted by hand into the shell before the hearing aid is finished off and sent to quality control.
